By far our most popular Grand Canyon Tour! Visit the remarkable ruins of Wupatki, where the ancient Sinagua civilization once lived, then mysteriously vanished without a trace. These ancient desert dwellers were the only ones present to witness the dramatic eruption of Sunset Crater Volcano. Between A.D. 1064 and 1180, a series of eruptions brought the San Francisco Volcanic Field back to life. Billowing ash, falling cinders, and forest fires blackened both the landscape and the sky. Learn about the eruption of Sunset Crater a millennium ago as you visit fields of lava that looked like they flowed yesterday.
After a delicious lunch in the historic dining room of the Cameron Trading Post, we venture into the Grand Canyon for an afternoon of exploring one of the seven Natural wonders of the World. This portion of the tour includes stupendous views of East & South Rims of the park, and the time and flexibility to explore on your own in the afternoon.

Type of Trans
We travel in small groups of no more than 14 people. We use mini-coaches that have been retrofitted with luxury, reclining seats with arm rests. Our vehicles are arguably the most comfortable way to travel on the ground. This insures that you will have plenty of space and will never feel crowded. A center isle makes it easy for everyone to get in and out of the vehicle.

What to bring/Wear
The vehicles will be comfortable but please adjust what you wear so that you are comfortable outside as well. Comfortable shoes are recommended.

- By special permit arrangement we are allowed to take you into the canyon for unique vistas, and a more personal experience with the canyon. Our guides will also allow you time for your own personal exploration.
- Hiking into the canyon, and long walks are an option. Some folks prefer shorter walks, or may prefer to sit in the shade and contemplate the immensity of the canyon. We are able to accommodate all needs and preferences on our tour. Even within the same group!
