When your friends ask you what your plans are for the Summer, tell them you'll be rafting the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon! Join us for adventure combined with scenic perfection in our motorized pontoon raft that does all the work for you (your friends will never know!) Admitting children 4 years and older, this is a great family vacation opportunity. Begin in the city of Page, Arizona where we will take you down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. From here, you will jump in one of our specialty boats, at river level, with the dam's walls towering 500 feet above you.
As you commence down the 15 mile stretch of gorgeous river, take in the scenery and appreciate one of the most gorgeous rivers in the United States. Also enjoy a fully narrated tour, from which you will learn about the the surrounding sandstone cliffs, the abundant wildlife, and the river's modern power to deliver electricity. During one of the offered breaks, take in the history of the Native Americans as you observe ancient caves and petroglyphs. Finally, make your way to the ''gateway to the Grand Canyon'', or Lees Ferry, where you will be transported back to the starting point.
Be sure to dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes that can get wet and sandy. This trip lasts approximately 5 hours with 3.5 of those transpiring on the river.
